Guatemala City, by Noé Pérez -AGN-. Dozens of Guatemalan families visited the La Aurora Zoo to celebrate the 63rd birthday of Trompita, the elephant.
Trompita is a mammal, viviparous, feeds mainly on fruits and plants, comes from southern Asia, and lives in tropical forests. The Asian elephant is on the List of Endangered Species.
During the celebration, visitors got pictures of Trompita enjoying her cake, which was filled with her favorite food.
La Aurora Zoo also invited all visitors to bring photos of Mocosita, the previous zoo elephant, and Trompita from February 17 to 29 to commemorate their living histories. The public pictures will be displayed on a mural. A winner will be chosen and announced on March 1 through social networks, who will win a Jilefante VIP Tour for two people.
