The president of Guatemala emphasized that since the beginning of his administration, the country has been affected by challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and the adverse effects of the weather.
However, he stressed that thanks to timely actions and joint efforts, the country was able to move forward.
President Giammattei stated, “We are unstoppable; it is difficult to find a better title than that.”
This reaffirms the values that make Guatemala a country with cultural and natural richness and opportunities to move forward.
About the Country Brand
On August 25, 2022, a coordinated effort between the Government of Guatemala and the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism -Inguat- launched the Country Brand, Guatemala Amazing and Unstoppable.
The project is a country strategy to promote Guatemala as an adventure, natural and cultural destination.
The country seeks to attract more investment and thus strengthen foreign trade.
Since launching the Country Brand, Inguat has increased its presence at international fairs and missions. It has also allowed Guatemala to be a special guest in international activities such as the International Tourism Fair -Fitur-, where the country was a leading partner.
In addition, the authorities mention that this strategy supports the recovery and strengthening of the economy of the domestic tourism sector.
This takes Guatemala into strategic markets and increases the opportunity for foreign investment and promoting of the country’s culture.
Thanks to the efforts carried out domestically and internationally, the Government of Guatemala reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting the country as an attractive destination to visit and invest.
