President Giammattei: “Country Brand is a Strategy of the Guatemalan Identity”

Guatemala Country Brand Strategy aims to promote the nation internationally.

Antigua Guatemala, Sacatepéquez. By AGN – Brenda Larios. On August 24, President Alejandro Giammattei highlighted that Country Brand Guatemala is a strategy that shows national identity.

The Country Brand represents the nation’s strategic project from a shared vision between public and private sectors to promote Guatemala globally,” said the president during the strategy’s launch at the National Art Museum of Guatemala.

He emphasized that this presentation makes him proud and thrilled since it is the beginning of Guatemalan identity strategy that from now will be known throughout the world.

During the event, the ministries of foreign affairs, economy, culture and sports, and public finance signed an agreement to work together to promote Guatemala Country Brand. The director of the Guatemalan institute of tourism and the secretary of social communication of the presidency also signed the agreement.

Destination to Invest

The president expressed that this strategy promotes Guatemala as a safe investment destination.

He also stated that it is an effective way to convey to the world that this is the best destination to invest, visit, live, share, and discover the richness we have.

The president reaffirms that sharing the national image generates more tourism, investment, and boosts exports, to create jobs and welfare for families.

However, he said it is also essential to promote the unique national culture to the world and highlight the identity of Guatemalans.

In his speech, the president highlighted that this strategy is part of the Economy, Competitiveness, and Prosperity plan of the General Government Policy 2020-2024.

He explained that these actions will achieve greater economic growth and significantly increase the sustainable sources of employment.

Modernization Trend

Also, President Giammattei remarked that the nation is at the forefront of modernization and global technological advances with the Guatemala Country Brand.

“Our nation is part of this trend of innovation. The country strategy seeks to integrate more broadly and significantly into the circle of nations,he added.

Guatemala Country Brand aims to participate in international markets with more exportation, tourism, and investment attraction.
