Commitment
The UPCV, led by Nicolás Reanda, has planned community activities for the prevention of violence and crime, with positive results in encouraging peaceful coexistence among children, teenagers, young adults, and women, based on three goals:
- Citizen participation in the community, municipal, and departmental
- Culture of prevention by conviction
- Foster early warnings and a culture of filing complaints against violence.
The UPCV’s actions are to promote municipal public policies to prevent violence and crime.
It seeks to create departmental prevention commissions, Comupres and Cocopres, and promote Community Plans and Road Accident Prevention Campaigns.
The initiative also includes cultural and recreational activities, training, and lectures on different topics that empower citizens to address the prevention of violence and focus on how to address it, encouraging pacific coexistence and a culture of peace.
