Guatemala City, by Yuliza Muñoz -AGN.- A business meeting with tour operators from the United States was held to create new commercial alliances and promote Guatemala as one of the best tourist destinations in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs -Minex- and the Guatemalan Tourism Institute -Inguat- organized an event to gather Guatemalan entrepreneurs seeking new opportunities to market their products abroad.

According to Inguat, at least 110 business appointments were completed with Guatemalan business people.

These actions promote the qualifications of  Guatemalans and contribute to the creation of formal jobs and the economic reactivation of the country.

In addition, with the Embassy of Guatemala in El Salvador’s support, another business meeting was organized with Salvadoran business persons.

The activity included Guatemalan tourism companies and tour operators from El Salvador.

Inguat reported that this is part of the strategies for foreign investment before Holy Week 2023.
