The Public Ministry Led the Eradication of Marijuana Crops With an Estimated Value of More Than USD 1.2 million

The Public Ministry, through the Prosecutor’s Office for Drug Trafficking Crimes, in collaboration with elements of the General Division of the Anti-Narcotics Information Analysis Sub-directorate -SGAIA- of the National Civil Police, carried out last January 21, a search, inspection, record, and seizure of evidence in a property located in the jurisdiction of the department of Santa Rosa. 

More than 28,000 marijuana plants in different stages of growth were located at the site. The plantation was eradicated.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the plantation has an estimated value of over USD 1.2 million.
