Guatemala City, by Jenny Herrera -AGN- The Government of Guatemala has enabled offices for the teams designated by the elected authorities as a part of the transition process. These spaces were made available to the President and Vice President-elect and will be used now that the process has resumed.
The purpose of these offices is for the new authorities to become familiar with the administrative and financial aspects of the different institutions.
In September, the President reiterated his administration’s commitment to the transition process by instructing that offices be set up in ministries, secretariats, and other executive agencies to create a space for the people appointed by the elected government. The new offices were officially opened a few days after the announcement.
Meeting
On October 4, the transition process was resumed between the teams appointed by the Government of Guatemala. The Presidential Transition Commission welcomed the vice president-elect and her team at the National Palace of Culture.
At the Hall of Ministers, the proposed schedule of sectoral meetings was delivered. This step is essential for the transfer of information from ministries and secretariats.
The mandate of President Alejandro Giammattei to carry out an open, orderly, and transparent transition is being fulfilled.
