Guatemala City, by Yuliza Muñoz -AGN-. The Guatemalan Tourism Institute -Inguat- detailed the strategy to promote tourism in Guatemala City. The primary purpose of the Tourism Development Plan is to establish the capital city as one of the most attractive destinations for local and foreign tourism.
Inguat developed an activity to present the different actions contemplated in this initiative. During the event, the authorities explained how this work is a sign of the commitment to preserving culture and promoting the country.
Urban Enhancement
The Tourism Development Plan is focused on protecting Guatemala City’s historical heritage. The plan seeks to enhance emblematic sites, promote the diversification of experiences, improve tourism infrastructure, and create higher-quality services for visitors. It also seeks sustainability and respect for the environment.
