Support Programs
According to an official statement from the Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee, Mario Diaz-Balart, various projects that promote freedom, democracy, and respect for human rights will receive support.
The programs that promote freedom and democracy in the Western Hemisphere will receive special attention, with emphasis on Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. The fight against the flow of fentanyl and other drugs into the United States is also a priority. European partners that require help with Ukraine are also contemplated in the legislation.
The bill also maintains all existing pro-life protections and support for traditional American values. Additionally, programs for religious freedom and protection for religious organizations providing assistance outside the US will receive aid. Critical diplomatic functions, such as addressing delays in passport applications and ensuring embassy security, are also contemplated.
These are some of the proposals included in the bill to accomplish mutual benefit, cooperation, and the strengthening of diplomatic ties with all partner countries that cherish freedom and democracy, including Guatemala.
