Project Noj
The project seeks to strengthen the School Feeding Program in Quetzaltenango, Chimaltenango, Guatemala, and El Progreso departments.
It is implemented with the support of the World Food Program -WFP-. It allows for strengthening interventions that contribute to the nutritional feeding process. It also includes the provision of basic utensils for food preparation and using technology to share information on the correct handling of food.
It was officially launched in September 2022 and encourages the promotion of family farming and inter-institutional strengthening, as established in the School Feeding Law.
The WFP has stressed its support for the efforts of the Government of Guatemala to comply with the Feeding Law.
Through these actions, WFP has brought food to students in more than 100 countries; in 2020, it reached over 39 million children worldwide.
