Guatemala City, by Yuliza Muñoz -(AGN)- The Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance -MSPAS- conducted the second transition meeting with the elected authorities’ team.
MSPAS authorities met with Óscar Arnoldo Cordón and Édgar González, who represented the President and Vice President-elects, and discussed the work carried out during the current administration.
The Minister of Public Health, Francisco Coma, and the vice ministers led the meeting. Minister Coma reported that they presented information about the Ministry’s management in recent years, as well as ongoing projects, policies, and initiatives. This information will help the incoming team evaluate and decide whether to continue with them.

One of the main objectives of conducting these meetings with delegates from the elected authorities is for them to become acquainted with the ministry’s work for the country’s well-being. Therefore, MSPAS authorities state that they will continue to provide the necessary information to shed light on the work done in recent years and to follow up on actions focused on providing quality services to the population, significant advancements, and favorable changes for the country.
First Meeting
On October 18, the authorities of MSPAS met with the elected authorities’ representatives as part of the first transition meeting.
During that meeting, they addressed health infrastructure projects, medical equipment for hospitals and healthcare centers, healthcare programs, and investment in training health personnel at the first and second assistance levels.
