Guatemala City, by Brenda Larios -AGN-. Ilan Goldfajn, President of the Inter-American Development Bank -IDB-, reaffirmed his support for President Bernardo Arévalo’s administration during a bilateral meeting in Antigua Guatemala.

Your government’s arrival offers an opportunity for Guatemala to strengthen its commitment to democracy, the rule of law, and transparency and to promote inclusive, sustainable economic growth. As part of the 37th Annual Meeting of Governors of the Central American Isthmus and the Dominican Republic, the IDB president also met with the Minister of Public Finance, Jonathan Menkos.
The IDB supports Guatemala’s efforts to close social gaps and remains committed to promoting sustainable development for the Central American Isthmus and the Dominican Republic, ensuring a resilient and inclusive future for all.
They talked about sanitation, electrification, infrastructure projects, and technical assistance initiatives. They also addressed the new regional program “America at the Center” as part of the IDB’s agenda in conjunction with Guatemala and its people.
