Guatemala City, by Yuliza Muñoz -AGN-. The Guatemalan Tourism Institute (Inguat) held, for the second time this year, the Aventura X Guate fair to promote the richness and biodiversity that Guatemala possesses. The Inguat developed this event, which received hundreds of Guatemalans interested in learning about the country’s wonders for two days.
The event occurred in the Jacarandas de Cayalá ecological park in Guatemala City. Tour operators, nature reserve companies, cooperatives, and entrepreneurial artisans gathered there to offer products and services.
Aventura X Guate
This project’s main purpose is to promote domestic tourism so Guatemalans become familiar with the destinations and activities offered in the country; this includes the offer of the country’s nature segment.
The initiative focuses on adventure tourism and highlights the natural wealth, climatic variety, volcanoes, mountains, valleys, lakes, and rivers, among other attractions.
Inguat said it is also intended to provide information on tours, services, equipment, and activities focused on local tourism to promote and market the tourism sector’s offers for the volcano season and end-of-year vacations.
These actions are coordinated to showcase the natural wealth and activities that local and foreign visitors can enjoy, the majesty of the landscapes, and various attractions that offer breathtaking views of Guatemala.
