Guatemala City, by Yuliza Muñoz -AGN- The Guatemalan Tourism Institute -Inguat- will participate in the seventh Festival Chapín in Los Angeles on August 26 and 27, with the performance of the Inguat Folkloric Ballet.
There will be two stands to provide information on planning visits to the diverse tourist destinations in Guatemala.
The Inguat director thanked the organizers for inviting the institution to participate in the event. She also explained that there will be several artistic performances and a space to highlight the country’s wonders.
In this regard, she said: “We are constantly working to promote our country’s cultural and natural beauties. We consider this festival a great opportunity to show our Guatemalan people in the United States that their country is waiting for them with open arms.”
She explained there would be assistance counseling and some souvenirs for the attendees since this space is an opportunity to promote tourism abroad.
She added, “We want to emphasize the importance of promoting tourism for our country. It strengthens family ties, specifically with Guatemalans living outside our borders.”
Guatemala in the United States
The Guatemalan community living in the United States, specifically in Los Angeles, is one of the largest and most diverse in the country. This community has managed to preserve the traditions and customs of Guatemala, contributing to the promotion of Guatemalan culture abroad.
The event is an ideal scenario to highlight Guatemala’s natural and cultural richness, precisely how amazing and unstoppable the country is as a destination that offers many tourist options.
