Guatemala City, by Yuliza Muñoz -AGN- Guatemala, participated in the International Tourism and Travel Show 2023 held in Montreal, Canada. The Guatemalan Institute of Tourism -Inguat- has reported that this is the 33rd edition of this event, regarded as one of the most significant international fairs.
The event took place from November 3 to 5, and the Guatemalan delegation showed attendees the country’s different offers, the quality of its products, and why it is one of the best tourist destinations in the region.
The delegation showcased the country’s cultural richness and sought new investment markets.
These actions aim to position the country as one of the top destinations in the region. The plan for this year contemplates participating in 14 international fairs, and each event represents an opportunity to highlight that Guatemala is ready for commercialization and investment.
The Event
The International Tourism and Travel Show is an annual travel and tourism fair held in Montreal. It is estimated that over 100 countries participate in it, represented by tourism offices, travel agencies, and tour operators.
Participants aim to provide opportunities for attendees to become acquainted with the various products and services offered in each region.
Inguat noted that the event’s primary purpose is to provide an opportunity to introduce new products and gain insights into travel destinations. As a result, it is a popular event among those seeking to explore different destinations.
