Guatemala Promoted as a Unique Destination at a Tourism Event in Costa Rica

An Inguat delegation presented Guatemala as a top destination in the region.

Guatemala City, by Yuliza Muñoz -AGN- Through the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism -Inguat-, Guatemala participated in the 9th edition of the Expo Viajes fair in Costa Rica.

Inguat reported that a destination presentation was conducted as part of the strategy for promoting the country internationally. The presentation was aimed at professionals in event planning and management.

This event aimed to promote the country and the Meetings Industry segment. It also aimed to showcase the wonders of Guatemala to the Costa Rican Convention Bureau and other fair attendees.

The Guatemalan delegation was responsible for promoting the various destinations within the country and the incredible tourism offerings available.

Event 

Expo Viajes is Costa Rica’s national tourism fair, directed at tourism consumers. During the event, products and services focused on the development of vacation travel were showcased.

Tourism professionals, representatives of the corporate market, retailers, wholesalers, travel agents, and other specialized buyers attended the event. 

Also present at the event were representatives of:

  • International tourist destinations
  • Hotels
  • Airlines
  • Cruise lines
  • Financial institutions
  • Travel specialists and agents
  • Theme parks
  • Car rentals
  • Products for travelers and others.

Guatemala Internationally

Overall, to promote Guatemala’s potential and attract investment, the country has participated in different international events and has sought to position Guatemala as one of the best destinations in the region.

During this year, it is expected to participate in 14 international fairs, representing an opportunity to highlight that the country is prepared for trading and ready to receive investment.
