Guatemala City, by Yuliza Muñoz -AGN-. The Guatemalan Tourism Institute -Inguat- created the Take a Closer Look campaign to position Guatemala as one of the best destinations in the region.

The initiative aims to attract more visitors and position the country as a place to discover, create new experiences, and admire the most emblematic destinations. Inguat mentions this is an enticing invitation to discover and enjoy Guatemala’s incredible amalgam of sites.

This strategy showcases Guatemala’s more than 3,000 years of rich cultural heritage in El Salvador, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Spain.

The innovative campaign has been displayed on advertising platforms in outdoor spaces, such as taxis, trains, buses, advertising panels, and digital screens.

This campaign promotes natural beauty, incomparable archeology, and unique recreational destinations. In the process, the images projected in the spaces targeted for the campaign are meticulously selected.

Inguat has mentioned the importance of promoting the country worldwide, showcasing its cultural richness and traditions, and showing Guatemala as a modern, contemporary, and investment-ready country prepared for commercialization.

These activities also seek to improve strategic alliances of cooperation and friendship with different countries. Therefore, it aims to support the economic and social development of nations.

The goal is to place the country in the world’s spotlight, especially by showcasing Guatemala’s different tourist destinations.
