According to its calendar, the institution highlighted the wonders of the departments of Alta Verapaz, Baja Verapaz, and San Marcos this month.

The purpose of these actions is to promote the country’s cultural and gastronomic diversity, as well as its tourist destinations.

The touristic calendar will highlight the departments as follows:

Art and Tourism

In this initiative, 24 Guatemalan artists participated in a separate project called Art and Tourism, a Country with More Color.

The artists painted 26 murals in the department of Alta Verapaz, featuring Guatemala’s culture, gastronomy, and natural richness.

The paintings are located in Lanquin municipality,  where  hundreds of tourists can see them as they  visit the city.

Activities

The Marimba and Folkloric Ballet was part of the cultural evening coordinated by Inguat as part of Viajando por Guate in San Marcos.

Likewise, a new photographic booth was presented at the Quetzal Reserve.  Six traffic barrels and twenty cones were delivered so visitors could enjoy safe and well-organized experiences.

In the department of Alta Verapaz, a cultural festival was held in which locals and foreigners enjoyed artistic presentations of marimba and other performances of the region.
